Ocean String San Diego

San Diego is well known for its beautiful beaches, ideal climate and coastal scenery.  Immense Balboa Park is the site of the renowned San Diego Zoo. The inclusion of sand dollars, seashells, starfish and tillandsia on this artwork directly reflects the natural elements and beauty commonly found on this picturesque city's shores.

All hanging Ocean Strings are double sided, with both sides being made from the same materials save for an occasional variance. This String is made from large sand dollars, capiz shells (jingle oyster), colored scallop shells, green turbo intercostalis (a type of sea snail), small white clam shells, crushed pieces of reflective shells and finished with a brass bell all on a wide violet string.
